Evening start-up procedures.
This does not always go as planned. Here is what it should do:
- At XX (Sun's position or time) CCD cooling should begin.
- When the CCD reaches target temperature, it should take
bias and dark frames.
- At XX (Sun's position or time) the dome should open.
- Once the dome is opened, the dome fans should run to
move air out of the dome rings. For something like 2 minutes.
- At XX (Sun's position or time) the telescope should move
to 'flat position' and begin taking flats. NOTE: this
should occur even if darks/bias frames are still being
obtained. This needs to be a priority as it depends on
sky brightness. Currently, taking dark frames has priority
and often flat images are not obtained at all.
- At the completion of flats, it will still be too bright
to begin obtaining data. Another set of bias images
should be obtained and then some darks, until it is dark
enough to begin.
- At XX (Sun's position or time) the telescope should move
to its first target and focus.
- After focus, it should begin the target script, ending the
start-up procedures.
