• Chapter 17: Skip "The Magnitude Scale"
• Chapter 16: Skim sections as needed compared to lecture powerpoints.

• Chapter 19.1 and 19.2 only. This is only about distance.
• Chapter 21: sections 1 and 2 only.
• Chapter 22: 22.1 and 22.4
• Chapter 23: All but 23.6
• Chapter 24: Sections 5 and 6- skim these.
