The Science Explorers are Aiden, Bryce, Caiden, Emma, Jet, Lilly, Miranda, and Nick, with advisors Mike Reed and Tom Davis.

Meeting 1

We began with making a device to get fruit roll-ups off the wall

And then to get bubbles from one side of the room to the other.

And we finished with ways to get everyone to touch a basketball in a hurry.

Meeting 2

The challenge was to build a stand to hold a tennis ball at least eight inches off the ground, using only flexi-straws and tape.

Meeting 3

The challenge was to launch a ping pong ball at a target using a paint stirrer, duct tape, and two papers cups. The launcher had to be foot operated.

Meeting 4

The first goal was to make a model bridge, between two books, using only one sheet of paper.

The second challenge was to make prototype paper chairs out of index cards.
